MSREI was established in the 1990s as a way for reproductive medicine professionals to get together, discuss topics of the day and meet thought leaders.
Our Story
Everyone is Welcome
Physicians, laboratory personnel, nurses, medical assistants and front office staff are always free to attend. Anyone with an interest in reproductive medicine is welcome. All we ask is that you RSVP so we have a headcount for our meeting location and caterers.
Meet the MSREI Team
Michael S. Mersol-Barg, MD
President
Dr. Mike Mersol-Barg is the Medical and Laboratory Director of Michigan Reproductive Medicine. He is also an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has been a high complexity laboratory director for over 20 years.
Dr. Mersol-Barg is a 2015-2017 Clinical Research/Reproductive Scientist Training (CREST) Scholar which is a joint training program awarded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the Clinical Research Training Program (CRTP) at Duke University, and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Alyssa Jones MT(ASCP)SH
Event Coordinator
Alyssa Jones has been an embryologist for over 20 years. She served as head embryologist at Oakwood Hospital and is now an invaluable asset at Michigan Reproductive Medicine as both a manager and an embryologist. Alyssa has been volunteering her time for MSREI since 2010 and we're most grateful for all that she does.
